Many students have a difficult time discriminating consonant blends and digraphs. Sorting pictures according to onsets builds auditory awareness.

The L-blends, R-blends, S-blends, and digraphs have 2 sets each of 30 pictures and coordinating sound cards. Materials can be used for sort activities. Guide has directions for group games and shows how to make yarn yokes.
